UNDERSTANDING SIN AND REPENTANCE

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near”

“You yourselves know how I lived among you…I did not shrink from doing anything helpful, proclaiming the message to you, teaching publicly and from house to house…about repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus.”

Synopsis: This programme covers the five weeks of Lent, the Christian season when we remember Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness post-baptism. Lent is acknowledged as a time for self-examination, penitence and spiritually preparing for Easter and celebrating Jesus’ sacrifice for us and the death of death. The weekly meetings will be structured sessions with a focus on understanding what the Bible says about sin and repentance. There will be a framework, summarised below, indicative teaching interspersed with much discussion on the topic, some singing and prayer.
